Hacienda del Alamo is a new resort development near Fuente Alamo in the region of Murcia in the South East corner of Spain. The city of Murcia is only 35km from the project, which has excellent transportation connections an hour from Alicante International Airport or half an hour from San Javier airport. It is half an hour from Cartagena on the coast and four hours from Madrid. The seaside resort of La Manga del Mar Menor or the restaurants and beaches of Valle de Escombreras are 45 minutes driving by car.

THE PROJECT

The whole development will occupy some 600 hectares. When finished the entire complex will consist of two 18 hole Championship Golf courses which have been designed by Dave Thomas. There will also be a village with all the necessary commercial areas; a Spanish Pueblo, an hotel of some 150 rooms, with all the latest facilities; also tennis courts, a driving range golf academy, horse riding facilities and football pitches for off season training practice which will ensure a complete range of services and activities.

THE GOLF

At Hacienda del Alamo there will be two 18 hole Championship Golf courses designed by Dave Thomas, who has an International reputation par excellence. His courses include Valderama and La Manga. There will also be a driving range and Golf Academy with six full size practice holes offering instruction with beginners as well as advanced courses. Within a short drive there are three superb Golf courses at La Manga which has hosted five Spanish Opens. At La Manga Club there are three Courses; the West Course, South Course and North Course founded in 1971.

Miguel Angel Jimenez currently the world number 23 has been appointed Hacienda del Alamo's touring professional an ambassdor for Golf and the resort development.He will endorse and promote the 7,300 yard 18 hole course with eight lakes and 84 bunkers. He was a member of the victorious European Ryder Cup team 2004 and won the 2005 Wales Open at Celtic Manor. In 2005 he has also won the Omega Hong Kong Open and was Europe's most prolific winner in 2004 with four titles and was fourth in the European Tour Order of Merit.

THE FUTURE

In the summer of 2002 work commenced on site, after the appropriate planning consents and guarantees were in place. Phase 1 was completed in 2004 and phase2 in 2005.Currently phase 4 is  on sale and also the phase 6 complex.
The first 18 hole golf course has been completed. As has the 6 hole course and the golf range and academy providing a comprehensive luxuryy golf facility.

THE HISTORY

The site was purchase by ARMILAR a major development company based in Barcelona who have combined with La Caixa Catalunia one of Spain's largest savings banks to create a management company combining the highest level of development skills with the complete financial solvency required to ensure a secure future for potential residents and investors.

HACIENDA VILLA SERVICES was formed in 2005 as a property services and management company the Directors being involved in the development since it's inception and owning property themselves in and around Hacienda del Alamo. The company provides a personal service for individual owners or purchasers or holiday makers wishing to rent accomodation on the development.
